A dark, ruby-coloured Merlot with great aromas of blackberries, blackthorn and black currant, accompanied by tobacco and balsamic notes. The 16 months of ageing in new barriques in connection with the avoidance of crushing the grapes and the 22 day fermentation in wooden fermentation stands gives the merlot Ried Schneideteil a very precise, supportive acidity with a muscular, meaty body. The existing tannins are beautifully integrated and ensure a very pleasant drinking experience.
